Update to Jaywalking for Justice!

Raquel Nelson was sentenced to 12 months of probation and 40 hours of community service.  Prosecutors stated that it was never their intent to ask for jail time.  The judge even gave Ms. Nelson the option of having a new trial so that she might not have to have their convictions on her record.  She has reportedly said she will think about it but is happy to be able to go home today.

    I need to start paying attention to the news. This shit just doesn’t make sense to me…then again not much going on in the world right now makes much sense to me.
